The NISHATI Project partners gathered in Cádiz, Spain, for a week of strategic activities aimed at strengthening collaboration and ensuring the successful implementation of the project across all participating institutions. Hosted by the University of Cádiz, the visit brought together representatives from Africa and Europe for high-level discussions, planning sessions, and shared learning experiences.
A key component of the visit was the two-day Steering Committee meeting, where partners reviewed progress across work packages, discussed ongoing capacity-building initiatives, and refined strategies to support eco-agriculture, water management, and renewable energy education in East Africa. The committee also explored emerging challenges, opportunities for innovation, and mechanisms for enhancing cooperation and knowledge transfer within the consortium.
Beyond formal meetings, the week offered valuable opportunities for partners to deepen institutional relationships, engage in meaningful dialogue, and strengthen the shared vision that underpins the NISHATI Project. These activities reinforce the consortium’s commitment to delivering high-quality academic programs, advancing research partnerships, and supporting sustainable development in Uganda, Tanzania, and Rwanda.
The gathering in Cádiz marks an important milestone in the project’s implementation, highlighting the strength of international cooperation and the collective dedication of partner institutions to the success of NISHATI.
