Sapienza University of Rome Conducts Training of Trainers Session at Kabale University

As part of NISHATI’s ongoing commitment to strengthening teaching and technical capacity across partner institutions, Sapienza University of Rome, the coordinating institution of the NISHATI Project, delivered a comprehensive Training of Trainers (ToT) session at Kabale University, Uganda.

The training focused on enhancing pedagogical techniques, fostering collaborative problem-solving, and equipping academic staff with modern, practice-oriented approaches relevant to eco-agriculture, water management, and renewable energy. Through interactive discussions, group activities, and hands-on demonstrations, participants explored innovative ways to integrate sustainability concepts into academic programs and community-focused initiatives.

This ToT session plays a key role in NISHATI’s strategy to ensure that expertise shared through international partnerships is effectively transferred to local educators who will cascade knowledge to students, researchers, and communities. The training also provided a platform for partners to exchange ideas, share experiences, and strengthen institutional networks across East Africa and Europe.

By hosting this training, Kabale University continues to demonstrate its leadership and commitment to advancing green skills, climate resilience, and sustainable development in the region. The collaboration with Sapienza University further reinforces the value of cross-regional partnerships in building resilient and future-oriented education systems.
