Dr. María del Mar Martín Aragón is an Associate Professor at the University of Cádiz with an academic background in Law and Criminology. She holds a Master’s degree in Criminology and Public Security and an International PhD (Hons. Cum Laude) from the University of Cádiz. Her teaching and research focus on gender, criminology, and public security.

She has participated in research projects on gender and criminal law and has published scholarly work on women in prison, gender-based discrimination, human rights, and environmental crime. Her research interests include gender and criminology, imprisoned women, crimes against the LGBTQ+ community, and crimes against the environment.
