As part of NISHATI’s continued efforts to build strong academic capacity across partner institutions, a team of professors from the University of Cádiz (UCA), Spain, delivered a Training of Trainers (ToT) session at Kabale University, Uganda. The session forms an important component of the NISHATI Project’s strategy to strengthen teaching competencies and support the rollout of new, sustainability-focused academic programs.
The training brought together university staff for an interactive program that integrated modern pedagogical techniques, curriculum development insights, and thematic expertise in eco-agriculture, water management, and renewable energy. Participants engaged in collaborative discussions, hands-on demonstrations, and digital-supported learning facilitated both onsite and through virtual contributions.
By empowering educators with updated methodologies and practical knowledge, the ToT initiative ensures that the upcoming NISHATI courses will be delivered with high academic quality and relevance. This activity also reflects the project’s broader objective of deepening collaboration among African and European partners, ensuring that knowledge transfer is both responsive and sustainable.
The University of Cádiz’s engagement further strengthens the consortium’s commitment to enhancing higher education systems and preparing future professionals equipped with green skills and climate-smart competencies.
