The NISHATI Project continues to advance its mission of building technical capacity in East Africa through targeted training led by international experts. As part of the ongoing activities, Flavio Andreoli, Managing Director of Hydrowatt (Italy), conducted a specialized training session on water management at Kabale University, Uganda.
The training introduced participants to practical and innovative approaches for managing water resources in agricultural and environmental contexts. University staff and students engaged in interactive discussions, technical demonstrations, and real-case analyses that addressed regional water challenges such as scarcity, efficient irrigation, and sustainable usage.
By blending theory with hands-on practice, Flavio’s session helped strengthen institutional readiness to integrate sustainable water management concepts into teaching, research, and community outreach. These efforts contribute directly to NISHATI’s broader goals of enhancing climate resilience, promoting green technologies, and empowering partner institutions to address local environmental needs.
This training is part of a series of ongoing capacity-building activities being implemented across African partner universities under the NISHATI Project.
